Default Installing UT2004 under Linux
I am running Fedora Core 5 on my laptop, and would like to install UT2004, since I know that it is Linux-compatibul. However, I cant figure out how to do it (I'm a Linux n00b, lol). Please help!

just ur luck i have just been playing it
insert the first cd or dvd and browse it there should be a file called linux_installer.sh. Try double clicking on that. If that doesnet work then open terminal (you should be able to find it in the dock menus) and type cd /media/cdrom/
now type ./linux_installer.sh

navigate to the CD, type sudo ./<name of installer.sh>. Make sure you have an nVidia card as ATi 3D Linux drivers are useless.

I get "Permission denied" errors when I try that. I changed to root in the terminal, do I need to be loged in as root too?

When you try what? Double clicking on the installer script, or typing sudo ./linux_installer.sh?

You shouldn't have to be logged in as root, but for the sake of simplicity, do so.

The installer might not have the execute bit set. Just to keep things simple, do:

su
sh /mnt/path/to/cdrom/linux_installer.sh

Isn't it sudo su to login as root? I thought su just means switch user?
