Well,DSL is a portable linux distro, and DRI isn't all that great. It's designed as a business card linux distro, and not for games. If you want to play games, then something like a debian flavoured distro or FC or SuSE would be great.

To start off with, you want to install the nVidia drivers.

Slax seems to be very supportive of running win32 applications natively.

Well I'm not sure if any of these game will interest you, but I enjoy playing supertux and tuxkart. I think both of them are pretty fun when you just need to blow some time.

Oh man, I have been having a ton of fun with airstrike.

I can't find the site on the internet. It should be there somewhere, it is an old 2D biplane dogfighter game. No real point. But it is pretty fun. I found it in the ubuntu repositories as 'airstrike'. A great fun time waster.
