This is a quick question to ask how do i get applications to start when i logon to gnome ? i want amsn and banshee to start with the pc and cant figure out how to do it.
If anyone knows how to this would be great as having to open stuff after the pc starts up is an annoyance

Hmm mine has an option when I shutdown to save the session information. That way any programs I leave open are run the next time I login.

well if you leave em open, they SHOULD open back up (sometimes you have to "save session")

It's a standard part of gnome to have these options there. Check with your distro's forums, they may have more specific instructions. I'm not familiar with SuSe.

I think it is System -- Preferences -- Sessions Then just go to start up and put what you want: i.e. gaim or amsn They will start with GNOME now. This is for Ubuntu 6.06 However there should be a similar process in other GNOME desktops.
