Has any of you suffered problems with sound while using Wine? All my games play just fine but without sound, and when I try to access the sound tab in winecfg I either get an error or the system crashes/freezes
.

You distro are you using?
It might be a missing codec, or a problem with WINE since it'll crash. I do not have much experience with WINE though.

Ubuntu. This is the error I get every time I hit the sound tab:
"ALSA lib seq_hw.c:456 snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x7c0319d8 *** wine: Assertion failed at address 0xffffe410 (thread 0009), starting debugger..." Also, I have no sound in games.
