Well I had to reformat my Sata drive for winblows. My FC5 is still on my IDE drive as I had no need to reformat it. My question is can I reinstall the boot loader thru the Fedora disk? I tried doing a update and selecting config boot loader with no luck. I have no way of getting into the Fedora partition, if I have to reformat it I will but I would prefer not to.

Boot from the First CD of Fedora. In rescue mode. Type into the prompt:
__________________# chroot /mnt/sysimage # grub-install <devive> (/dev/hda) For example: chroot /mnt/sysimage grub-install /dev/hda1 Hope this helps! ![]() BTW, once you've got into Fedora, create a boot floppy ![]() John ![]()

I assume on second line I would put
# grub-install <device> (/dev/sda) pink

No. I have edited my post with an example. It would be:

Umm, I don't know. Not a regular Linux user, I just know how it works and the code.
