Is there a way to view CPU usage in Ubuntu? I know, I went "against" what I even said, about how Ubuntu isn't for you if you want to learn to use Linux, just if you want to use it, but its the only thing I have and its hard enough for me.
![]() If you can, make them obvious- I just learned how to navigate to folders and basic commands in the terminal- I'm next to stupid when it comes to Linux. ![]() I'd like to be able to view temps and such as well, but since I looked into it and I didn't understand a word of what it asked me to do, I'm just gunna forget about it until I learn somemore. ![]()

I believe under Administration there was/is a Resource Monitor. Shows you much of what Windows TaskManager does.. I'm away from my folding slave Ubuntu box so don't quote me

Right click on one of the gnome-panels, click "add to panel", and look for "system-monitor". It is in the system and harware section. Once it appears on the toolbar, right-click on it, and select "preferences". Tweak the preferences to your liking.
__________________In case you didn't know, you can right click on an object, and click "move" to move it around on the bar.. (Unless it it set to "lock to panel")\ (Btw- left-clicking on the toolbar system monitor will bring up the system monitor Ictinike brought up) I have never tried it, but apparentley Lm-sensors will allow you to monitor your temps. It is avalible in synaptic.. http://www.lm-sensors.org/
