I love tiling WMs so much. Once you learn the shortcuts and mess around with window tagging enough, you become insanely efficient with everything you do. You begin wishing that every program you used was entirely usable with only a keyboard. (Vimperator or Uzbl fit in with the WM's very nicely because of this)

Personally, I'd recommend trying out Awesome first. It comes with most of everything you'd need to learn how to operate it. Xmonad is my favorite right now, but Haskell is such a brain****ing language that it has put me off from using anything related to it before. I'd definitely recommend giving it a chance though. (Also, if you try out Awesome, make sure to remap the mod key to the left alt key. Using the superkey is hellish on your fingers with some of the shortcuts. Also, installing something like dmenu would be a great idea)
