FC 5 freezing on "Application Selection" screen

FC 5 x64, when I run it the app selection screen "Is this computer for software dev, server, or workstation?" The installation locks up. I did a media check on the disk, and I dropped my rock stable OC to stock just in case, and it still freezes. Why?
