Which Linux should a Nooby start with? I know nothing about Linux.
I want to make the option of booting to Windows or to Linux.

Any reccomendations would be great!

I recommend Debian\GNU linux or Fedora Core if you want to learn how it works. If you want to just use it, Ubuntu is fine IMO (I said, IMO so people dont go "****, UBUNTU IS GREAT!! YOU THINK ITS NOT WORTHY! IT IS!" ¬_¬)

I love Ubuntu but I wouldn't recommend it to start with, Very difficult

I'll suggest SuSE 10.1 or SLED 10. Fedora is a good choice too. Core 6 should be out on the 11th. Was to be out on the 27th of September though.

is fedora 6 the one with that sweet aero-glass like interface? (xgl i think?)

sled 10 and opensuse 10 both have that and its so simple to enable

i think your talking about xgl...which dosnt support the 7900gtx

haha lol ok not realy..i dislike ubuntu.
id say gentoo all the way. its a difficult install but just installing it will take you from a no0b, to less of a no0b who knows a little about linux. it takes som time but it has great documentation. also, you only have to install it once....EVERYTHING can be fixed.
