How to remove linux?
How do I un-install Ubuntu so I can try annother distro?

lol you just format the drive, and install another one. It'll write over your MBR.

Which Distro are you planning on going to? Since some like Fedora will overwrite all linux partitions on install. Be very careful when you reformat to do it as I have lost my MBR on this on quite a few occasions.

will it change the boot up? I somehow have two Ubuntu boots because of an update. Will it erase those as well?

It's "linux" and "distro"
__________________Distro is short for distribution. Bistro is a food thing...lol Just format that partition. It'll wipe it away.

NO! Do NOT just format the Ubuntu partition. All of the GRUB settings are on there. Your system will be unbootable until you reinstall grub or rewrite the MBR.
ANyway, most distro's will detect any ext2\3\reiserfs systems and will have the option to override them.

eek!!! I reformated. I have a grub (what evere it is called )error. how do I recover? What is the command in recovery?

throw in your XP cd and go to the recovery console and type:
fixmbr fixboot and restart
