Ubuntu Kernel 2.6.20
Won't probably get here for a long time. But I just compiled my
__________________own vanilla source, and am loving it. For those who want to be a little more daring with their Ubuntu install, follow this guide here Kernel Compilation How To For Ubuntu Edgy Grab your sources right here: 2.6.20 Sources Follow the instructions, I ignored the patching section (I still have to patch it w/ openMosix). So is the trouble worth it? Absolutely! Everything boots and runs a little faster with a customized kernel. Mines stripped of a lot of bull that I know my comp doesn't have or will ever have. When I get my Ubuntu distro back up and running, I'll upload a .deb package for people to play around with (using a generic Ubuntu config).
