Question Why no good GUI's?¿

I find Linux boring and to much work. I like looking at a GUI...
does Linux have a full GUI on any distro? Shouldn’t it get at least one, it would greatly increase new users converted from windows and ones new to computers.

Anyone disagree?

What distro are you using?

Any modern Distro will have a GUI for just about everything. Alot of Linux users are power users and prefer command line.

Umm...hello!?!! what distro are you using? Every modern distro has a nice GUI packaged with it. Fedora Core 6 is beautiful and you even can get the box working fairly easily...

The GUI elements in Fedora Core 6 are probably arguably nicer than Windows XP's...

Gnome, KDE, Fluxbox, Blackbox, Icebox, FXCE....there's a whole bunch of GUIs to use as the windows manager.

You can also install packages with their built in GUI tool...so you'll probablly only touch the console once in a while...

Yeah, I would have to disagree.

I don't find it boring at all. Actually I find Windows to be boring. You can customize the window manager/Desktop environment in linux to, well the skies the limit, and its pretty easy to.

Most popular distro have a UI by default after the install. Only a few of the more advance ones don't install a UI by default.

Well they may not hide more stuff, but GUI definitly are more limiting compared to CLI.
