so heres a handy little tip for those of you that are like me and dont wish to move everything to the trash bin and then have to empty it when you want something deleted now this applies to those that are using nautilus to browse your folders and files so here is the steps you will take to add the DELET option to the menu when you right click on a file to delete the file

first open nautilus basically just double click something like my computer or the home folder or in the panel click on places and one of those

second in the menu bar at the top click EDIT and then goto PREFERENCES

third click on the BEHAVIOR tab

fourth at the bottom under the TRASH section add the check mark to the box include a delete command that bypasses the trash

then click close .. your good to go .. no longer will you have use the trash can to delete the file i figured it saves you a click or two this way..

Nice faq, but I use tune up utilities which adds the tuneup shredder to my right click menu.

I'm pretty sure Tuneup Utilities is for Windows. Some people aren't looking at what topic section they are under.

I know its for Linux. Every time Ive used it, it never puts things in the trash.

I can understand though if you just want to use the mouse.

I just personally am so used to it, that I will automatically head for the shift button.
