Default I'm not sure I realized just how cool Linux is...

until I pasted the following into konsole: (downloads necessary components to install beryl on slackware)

Quote:
mkdir $HOME/berylinstall
cd $HOME/berylinstall
wget http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sou...686-pinki2.tgz
wget http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sou...686-pinki1.tgz

wget http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sou...686-pinki1.tgz
wget http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8...-9742-pkg1.run
wget http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sou...2-i686-1dl.tgz
wget http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sou...1-i686-1dl.tgz
wget http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases...-0.3.1.tar.bz2
All I have to say is, f me, that's nice. Downloads every file in order, so no choking my narrow pipe.

Oh, I think the key is that beryl makes it look as awesome as it actually is.

Beryl kicks ass. Every time i show beryl to people the reaction is just. WOW.

I love the Cube. And woobly windows. You can honestly just sit there and wobble them around for ages and play with the cube.

Unfornatnately i'm running Vista on my Laptop. But my Desktop is Linux with beryl .

I can't wait for UT:2007. I have not read anything about OpenGL yet, but it'd better be there, or there will be a lot of unhappy linux users.

As for myself, Windows is my gaming system. Nothing else is on it, 'cept Photoshop. (I have not mastered the Gimp yet.... ) Spent most of last night getting FC7 all set up like I like it.
