![]() New in 0.1.3RC1
I plan to finish the installer this weekend and release 0.1.3RC2 and then once I know its bug free (mostly) I'll release 0.1.3. The installer actually works fine, its the script that start it up that is having trouble. Since its no longer in the same directory as the Perl modules, its complains and saying it can find them. Even if the script is just a link to the real perlmon script. I know a fix (edit @INC), but it'll take a good deal of reorganizing and structuring. Which really needs to be done any way.

Well i just used the Ubuntu version and it worked flawlessly the first time. However, when i run the system with 256MB and 384MB of RAM, the usage always says 90%+, with 3-20MB "free." When i gave it 768MB, it said like 50%. However, with the 256 or 384, the system monitor says only about 20% is actually being used. Which is correct?
I'm running Ubuntu in VirtualBox, btw, and i'm changing the amount of RAM i allow the VM.

I am extremely excited about this.
__________________Unfortunately, I'm a newb and can't figure out how to get this to run on kubuntu 7.04. I mean, I'm like a hardcore newb. I don't know squat. But hey, at least I can surf the internets. And if I can do that, then I can learn... As it stands now, when I right click, I don't have the "package installer" option. Hopefully in a few weeks or less, I'll be able to get it working. I appreciate your work. It gives me something to shoot for.

For the tarball package (the one on the initial post), unpack it the same, and double click on the file named "perlmon" in the new folder that was created.

When I DL the deb.zip and unpack it, then click the nice white and red icon, it opens up a folder in ark that has 3 files: control.tar.gz; data.tar.gz and debian-binary.
__________________If I right click on the red and white icon and select extract package, I get a message telling me "subprocess killed by signal (Broken pipe)." Under my "system" tab, I do have an icon for Perlmon (It's a blue 'PM'), however, when I click it, the hourglass runs for a few minutes, I get the tab at the bottom of my screen in the KDE panel, but then after about 3 seconds, it disappears with no application to be seen.

At this time, I don't know anything about the .deb package, so reset3x would probably be able to help out with it better. I know if you download the source package from the first port that you can then try and run it in the console and see what errors it gives.
