You get that error if its not installed or if it is, by default only root can run it. since lm_sensors is working in conky, can you show me your output when you run the command sensors please.

Hddtemp wasn't installed, I could of sworn it was but it wasn't.

Thanks for the info!
Your output looks a tad different then mine: Code:
$ sensors it8712-isa-0290 Adapter: ISA adapter VCore 1: +1.50 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V) VCore 2: +1.17 V (min = +1.28 V, max = +1.68 V) +3.3V: +3.28 V (min = +2.78 V, max = +3.78 V) +5V: +5.05 V (min = +4.49 V, max = +5.48 V) +12V: +12.16 V (min = +9.98 V, max = +13.95 V) -12V: -16.07 V (min = -22.94 V, max = -17.05 V) -5V: +1.26 V (min = -9.14 V, max = -7.75 V) Stdby: +5.11 V (min = +4.49 V, max = +5.48 V) VBat: +3.06 V fan1: 0 RPM (min = 811 RPM, div = 8) fan2: 1591 RPM (min = 811 RPM, div = 8) fan3: 2812 RPM (min = 811 RPM, div = 8) M/B Temp: +34.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +58.0 C) sensor = thermal diode CPU Temp: +35.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +58.0 C) sensor = transistor Temp3: +40.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +58.0 C) sensor = transistor cpu0_vid: +1.550 V k8temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter Core0 Temp: +31.0 C Line 66 in Sensors.pm is the backup way to find the mainboard temperature. If you don't have it then its fine. Just in some hopes will find the temp if the user doesn't have lm_sensors installed. If anyone else could please post their output of sensors -u that would be greatly appreciated! The hardest part of adding new things is finding ways it'll detect the hardware on everyones machine. Trouble is most of the time I only know how it looks on my machine. Thats way I'm so thankful for feed back.

Guess I'll just stick with sensors (why the in#.. why can't it just say +5v or VCore1
). Thanks!

Yeah, I had said in a earlier post that the only way to get the code name for a CPU is that it has to hard coded in. This takes awhile. The thing I'm working on now is the installer, that has highest priority. Displaying the codename and the chipset info is on then list of stuff to add. Just give me sometime please.

Thanks.
You can find the PerlMon icon if you go to the directory PerlMon is saved and look inside the icons folder, you'll find it there. Its the blue 'PM' that is used as the window icon.
