im rolling with the default xandros but will eventually go with eeeXubuntu or something.

Well the program should run, but I'm unsure about how much information it will be able to gather as I've never ran it on an Eee, nor have anyone tell me that they have. So go for it and tell us how it goes.

On another note: I will release a test of the next release soon for those that what to try it and let my know how the installer goes. I hit a small delay after I hosed my development space on my Arch box. So I thought it was time to try the newest Slackware 12.1. Things are running better then ever. =]

Well if you get the source package you don't have to install anything (will change in 0.2). You just need to run the file named perlmon in the top directory. So in terminal:

cd path_to_the_perlmon_folder
perl perlmon

and that should run it (if all the dependencies are meant!) else try

perl perlmon -n

Thanks for the error file. One of the dependencies is not meant. Perl-Gtk2 doesn't appeared to be installed. Download 0.1.4 though and try perl perlmon -n and that should work even though perl-gtk2 is not install.

Release 0.2.0

Unpacking is still the same: unzip PerlMon-*.zip

PerlMon now must be installed before you can run the script. To install:
cd /path/PerlMon-0.2.0
sudo perl Installer

and if all went well PerlMon should be installed. In the terminal you should be able to type perlmon and it should start up.

As always if you see anything wrong please let me know.

The new 'simple' display.
