Just run the .deb package. Easier.

A few months ago I posted somewhere on this forum that I was interested in doing a utility not dissimilar to CPU-Z for Linux, but I got almost no interest from anybody here, so I put it on the back burner. I could still do it, though, if anybody actually is interested.
