That's definitely not right. That would be a bug. Unless you're using a live CD.

It's the way Perlmon reads memory. Hobo explained it a while back (it's not a bug, but something that just never worked how it was originally intended to work). PTS already displays pretty much the same info but it lacks a GUI at the moment (therefore it doesn't look as pretty). The next revision, 1.8, will have a working GUI.

Howdy yal. First let me say that i have just installed Ubuntu about 20 mins ago and i have NO CLUE about anything when it comes to linux of any sort. I downloaded Perlmon, then when it poped up in the download screen i hit extract all to "Documents". Then i found Terminal in the applications page. When i go there and type' cd/home/wilber/Documents' it says No such file or directory. What am i doin wrong? Can anyone give me a step by step for this noob plz?

For beginners, you'd be best to use the .deb package

The dude who created PerlMon seems to be MIA. I think he went back to school or something and never posts anymore.
I have thought about porting PerlMon to Python. But it's a big project and I dunno if it's worth it. I am surprised, though, that some Perl coders here have not taken it and updated it.
