Hmm so let me get this straight. error10 is writing another application, or is he continuing the work on PerlMon?
I think continuing would be the best for everyone. But I guess if he makes a new application that is even better, then I couldn't complain

Works great, no bugs at all. But all it's done is tell me i need to buy some more RAM for my laptop . That screenshot is idle with 1 firefox tab open.

Well, dH released it under LGPL so it might not be possible without dH's permission.

That's definitely not right. That would be a bug. Unless you're using a live CD.

It's the way Perlmon reads memory. Hobo explained it a while back (it's not a bug, but something that just never worked how it was originally intended to work). PTS already displays pretty much the same info but it lacks a GUI at the moment (therefore it doesn't look as pretty). The next revision, 1.8, will have a working GUI.

Howdy yal. First let me say that i have just installed Ubuntu about 20 mins ago and i have NO CLUE about anything when it comes to linux of any sort. I downloaded Perlmon, then when it poped up in the download screen i hit extract all to "Documents". Then i found Terminal in the applications page. When i go there and type' cd/home/wilber/Documents' it says No such file or directory. What am i doin wrong? Can anyone give me a step by step for this noob plz? Im really anxious to try the program out. Thanks much for your time guys/gals.

***** I got it working now, i just used the one that installs itself. Thanks alot for the program. rep for sure.******

I have thought about porting PerlMon to Python. But it's a big project and I dunno if it's worth it. I am surprised, though, that some Perl coders here have not taken it and updated it.
