Hi...

I'm new in Linux (Ubuntu 9.04) but i have tried PerlMon but not everything is working...

Can anyone give a help???

These are some screenshots from PerlMon tabs

I have a Sapphire X1950XT ViD, Asus P5K Pro, Intel E8400 E0...

Why doesn't PerlMon detects the info of my ViD, temperatures and Screen info???
Is this normal???

Thanks

Perlmon is essentially a bunch of BASH commands called by Perl and put into a GTK widget. What I mean is, all of these hardware stats can be called from the command line.

But, you're problem here is not really Perlmon's. It is the fact you don't have lm-sensors installed. Here's what you need to do. Open a terminal and type:

Code:
sudo apt-get install lm-sensors
Once that's done, then type in the terminal:
Code:
sudo sensors-detect
Answer each question and then just allow it to generate it's config. It will show you what modules it found. So, you might have to do:

Code:
sudo modprobe <modules_name>
Or, you can reboot. Whichever.

Once that's done, then open PerlMon again and see if it doesn't work.

Hi...

Even after performing those comands, PerlMon stills not showing up my temps info...

Any ideas??

Edit;

After sudo sensors-detect i get this

http://paste.ubuntu.com/186971/

And after sudo modprobe coretemp or w83627ehf i get this

http://paste.ubuntu.com/186973/

If i start PerlMon in terminal by typing sudo perlmon i get this

http://paste.ubuntu.com/186977/

After restart and performing the comands again the only sensor working is the one that shows CPU temp...

You did everything right with the sensors-detect and with loading the modules. The Perlmon error is about hddtemp. If you want that, you can install it. Search Synaptic for it.

As for Perlmon not showing the temps, try logging out and back in. If that doesn't work, reboot.
