yeah, sorry, forgot to mention that too

Command
- What It Does

sudo apt-get install lm-sensors
- Installs lm-sensors

sudo sensors-detect
- Detects all the sensors that lm-sensors can find in your pc

(reply y to all questions)
- gives it permission to probe into your hardware (safely)

sudo shutdown -r now
- restarts the computer

the shutdown command takes the argument of "-r" which means restart, the "now" indicates to do the restart now, the other alternative to using "now" is to use "-t 00" which means "time until shutdown/restart is 00 seconds"

Even after restarting only cpu temp is working... All other temps are "unkown"...

Another detail is that PerlMon is not refreshing temps when we run cpuburn-in...

I mean that if you start perlmon, then start cpuburn-in, for instance, for 5 mintues, when cpuburn-in finishes, perlmon should refresh cpu temp back to idle temp, but that is not happening...

Type the following into the terminal:

Code:
sensors
Does that show the output of more than the cpu temp? It should show a lot of stuff. For instance, here's mine:
Code:
k8temp-pci-00c3

If your sensors output is similar to the above, yet PerlMon isn't showing it, then there must be a problem with PerlMon. As I said previously, it is no longer in active development and hasn't been for months.

That's too bad that PerlMon is no longer in development... I'll try that when i get home...

edit;

Well, the comand "sensors" is working just fine... So can i presume that PerlMon is not working properly???

If you just need a GUI for monitoring temps, there are plenty of those out there for Gnome and KDE. PerlMon isn't really meant to monitor temps, it is more of a clone of CPU-Z.
