Heres how PerlMon calculates the percentage:

Used/Total

so for the screenshot it would be:
566/1986=0.28499 * 100 = 28.499

The decimal is dropped off since you can only use an integer for the GTK progress bar.

Hey, is there any chance you can port this to OS X? I just noticed my MB in windows was over double (takes 2x as long to finish) its old score in Super Pi (24s to 52s.) I checked in CPU-Z during load, and the CPU isn't going up to its default multi at all. I'm in need of a program that'll read the CPU's speed in real-time.

I can't get it to work im in Ubuntu 32-bit and when i try to open the pearlmon file nothing happens.
So i read the readme file and i opened it using the perl perlmon command but then it just says "Use of uninitialized value in substitution (s///) at WMDE.pm line 72.
Illegal division by zero at Memory.pm line 58."
How do i open it?

The "Use of uninitialized value in substitution (s///) at WMDE.pm line 72" is alright, nothing to big to worry about, perl will continue running.

The divide by zero though is the issue. I take it you have no swap partition, so its trying to figure out the percentage of used swap space but the total value is zero. I think that is a fatal error so the execution of the program is stopping. I'll have to add a check and the issue will be fixed.

0.1.2 will be out soon I'm hoping. It'll be just a minor release that will fix a few issues that have be fixed.

If that is bugging you then don't worry I plan to have a few options available to set for version 0.3. So you can choose to have it display either amount free or amount used.
Also plan to start working on a QT GUI for it, so you KDE used wont have an ugly GTK GUI to look at. Also plan to change the GUI interface a bit, and how things are layed out. Also, of course, more info. Still working on the RAM speed and timings and CPU voltage. CPUID is a pain and I've decided to write that part in C++ instead of C. Work has slowed a bit since the semester has start.
Nice, Looking forward to it but put school first

I'm still getting:
Code:
Can't locate ./settings/Settings.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at HD.pm line 24.
Compilation failed in require at ./perlmon.pl line 30.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./perlmon.pl line 30.
I know I have perl installed but it refuses to work.
Running Xubuntu 7.04
