On my HDD I had XP and Fedora 7 Dual booting using GRUB.

When I booted I could choose which OS to use, I have just used GParted to format the Fedara 7 partition.

Now when I boot it still loads Grub but I can no longer choose OS's (because Fedora is gone)

All i get is a black screen with a command line "grub> _" (Flashing cursor)

I thought Grub was in the Fedora partition and would have been formatted with the rest and I would be able to boot straight into XP.

Please help a noob out. Thanks.

I need my PC back up and running, how can I make it so that my PC ignores Grub and boots XP instead?

Get your XP disk and boot into the XP setup. When it asks you what you want to do, press 'R' to repair your computer and enter the Recovery Console.

In the recovery console, type 'fixmbr' (without quotes), and then restart.

GRUB will be gone!
