This post reminded me to try out Ubuntu again
![]() Also, I was a long time ATI user for quite a few years before a few days ago when I purchased my first nVidia card. I remember hearing a while back (the last time I tried 'nix) that nVidia could use CompizFusion while having direct 3d enabled. Unlike my ATI version, where if I wanted to use Compiz and game, I would have to:

Damn! I really like the desktop effects (esp the cube and fade in windows/menu's). But logging in/out rebooting and enabling/disabling software drives me nuts since I'm primarily a gamer.
Really wish it was possible to game as easily on 'nix or OS X as it is on Windows. ![]()

Bunch of hacks in the Warsow servers
. I mean, how can 5 rockets to the face not kill you?! Nice looking game thought. Been playing Nexuiz too. Saurbraten would have been cool too if there were some actual people playing the damn thing.

I haven't gotten much of a chance to play Nexuiz that much. And last time I tried Cube and Saubraten, the servers were abandoned like a ghost town.

There is no one in Saurbraten. Shame, because it's a really nice looking game. Nexuiz is probably the most entertaining, even if it's looks are dated; the models/textures are blah, but the effects are nice, except for HDR/bloom, which consists of dropping a light bomb on the center of the map.
