I am using Ubuntu 7.04 in Vmware, under Windows XP. Using it mainly for folding, but learning the basics as well. I think everyone should have some sort of Linux setup, so they can learn it's basics.

Its a phase. I made the gaming community to prove people wrong about gaming on linux. I also helped form the directory with Chipp. Soon after, linux just kicked off with many members. Personally, I think it will just be a fad but some members will be stuck on linux.

No reason to hate since it is a good movement.

No, no problem. Just, I dunno how to put it but, gay?

On the good side is that endo is putting info on his threads. But still everyone making clubs and adding names to the first thread and then... nothing.

Edit: Oh and I think you guys are missing my angle here. Im a Linux supporter too. Im not 'hating' on you guys. But these clubs are getting gayer but the second. How about less clubs and more information?

And as to the gaming on Linux. Tell the people that say Linux cant handle games thats its not that, its that games just arent made for linux. Common misconception. The Hundred Gunner said it best. *not gonna bother looking for the quote*

Anyway, more and more games being made for Linux. And Wheezy Baby, the only complaint on your "club" is that theres more importance on getting people in the club and added to the list rather than getting the games list up and all that discussion.

Anyway, if you want a big ass list of games. Check out my post on endo's thread.

I'm running 7.04 under Wubi (http://wubi-installer.org/) .

Terrified to repartition my hard drive without losing my current windows stuff. Tried it once before, didn't end well.

Compiz-fusion + emerald ftw

To my knowledge there are only 3 clubs that are still around. 2 of which are by endo and the other by me but mine is a not a club. Just more for support for the linux gaming community. I take that as an indirect insult?

Even though it's not one of the more popular distro's, I think you should put Linux Mint on the list. It is Ubuntu with a streamlined GUI and multimedia codecs pre-installed, but it shares repositories with the official Ubuntu release.

Mint Linux is a very nice redistro of Ubuntu. I like the scheme of the GUI. Same performance and ease of Ubuntu too.
