Xubuntu Gutsy Tribe 5
Took the Tribe 5 Live CD for a test drive tonight... I'm running from the CD right now. This is the 9/25/2007 daily build... Nice new features.... The best being my GeForce 8600GT working right out of the box. You can add the nVidia 100 series glx drivers via add/remove or through synaptic. Pidgin replaced Gaim. Brasero replaced Xfburn... (Xfburn was always a coaster manufacturer for me anyways)... Murina Storm Cloud replaces Clearlooks as the default theme... My wireless router was detected in Network Settings which is a first for me... And connected with no hassle... Places has been added to the top panel a'la Ubuntu style... This is lookin good...
For those of you who are adventurers you can get the Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu daily builds here: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ Keep in mind these are meant for testing purposes.... Peace!!

I use ubuntu 7.04 worked great installing apart from when the kernal updated.
__________________had to uninstall GFX drivers then reinstall, linux is great im having alot of fun getting to grips with it... just expect alot of help topics from me lol.

does anyone have a write up on how to skin ubuntu or any other mod like things like changing the splash screen.

Wow a HowTo for Ubuntu... Should you guys be tackling bigger things like "HowTo Install Gentoo in 68 hard to follow steps" lol it's so true though.
