Default Alt + Tab in ubuntu

my alt tab works to flip through open folders and stuff but i cant alt + tab when in game so how do i get out of the game but keep it running.

ya like i used to be able to do in windows i could pause my game hit Alt + Tab and go into my firefox window or my music player window and change which music track was playing.

Are you running the game with Wine? I have no success with alt-tab running with Wine....

I am sorry if you have stated this before but what window manager are you using? Try Control + Alt + LeftArrow(or right)
