Benchmark Suites
freebench - free memory, integer, and floating point benchmark

lmbench - portable benchmark suite

ltp - the Linux Test Project benchmark suite

nbench - BYTE Magazine's BYTEmark tests memory, integer, and floating point performance

xfbsuite - benchmark suite for X
because i cant seam to get them to work.. or figure out how to use them.. i think i have the xfbsuite installed .. which i noticed has a version of the nbench in it but the docs are in german .. i would like to figure out how to get these test up and running so i can bench this system and change out the cpus .. im dying to get back into the c2d style of cpu.. this old intel is killing me..

System stability tester uses a win32 port of GMP. If you want to use it, you will need the mingw compiler. You don't need to go through cygwin or msys. Just pick from here the 3rdparty-win32-0.7.3.zip package. It includes posix threads for win32 too.

System stability tester runs under windows, linux, solaris 10, tru64 and HPUX 11.11 using gmp, so you won't find it that difficult to port your gmp based code to windows.
