I've been wondering if it's possible to install Linux (specifically Gentoo) before installing Windows in a dual boot. Is this possible? If so, how? I have heard that it's best to install Windows before Linux, but I'm unable to do so at the moment. It would be much more convenient to install Linux first for me. If it makes any difference, I'll be using two separate hard drives. Thanks in advance.

yes you can you just install the grub boot loader after you install widows so that you can use grub which is better then the windows bootloader.
