Internal Error "Failed To Initialize HAL!" HELP?
Everytime I load up Ubuntu 7.10 I get an Internal Error message. I tried reinstalling HAL. I get an error. The consistency is set to none. So thats not the problem. I dont want to have to reinstall the OS. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know what this is. Does it prevent you from getting a GUI?
And what do you mean "consistency is set to none?" You mean it just happens randomly, or is this really a "set"ting? lol I THINK I might have heard of this before... Do you see a whole bunch of text passing by when it's booting up then it says -KERNEL PANIC- or something? I used to get that in Xubuntu, but I thought it had something to do with it running inside a virtual machine (VM.) I could just usually restart and it would be fine, but I had no fix nor did I know the cause.
