Not at all. I remember using Ubuntu back in the 5 and 6 days. I didn't like it much. They have made exponential improvements since then; 8.04 is quite impressive.

Problem fixed, i dunno what i did but i turned off the PC, unpluged my IDE hard drive, turned on the PC, i turned it off again, then i plugged in the IDE HDD again, booted on Ubuntu and voila!! there are my hard drives..

Im even running with overclocking enabled and no problems.

might have had to remount the drives...when in ubuntu if the drives aren't there go to places and if you see the size of your other partition there it will mount if you click on it and you will be able to access it
