no idea, I don't exactly have any kickin around. And believe me, I already know the wonders of linux. I must have about 25+ cd's/DVD's of Linux distros in my cd case.

On the downside, If I get a hard drive working, then the comp is still my sisters and she would get it back.

So bottom line is, I need a cheap am2 proc. And then just use the "broken" 80gb drive from her computer LOL.

bleh, i put slackware 12 back on my rig last night and set it up a bit, then got slapt-get going and started the update process via "slapt-get --install upgrade", there was a total of 355 programs to be updated. so i said sure, ill click y then let it go while i sleep. well, i got up 20 minutes ago to find that its only on package #82..

oh well. anyone know a good temp monitoring app for linux? i tried ksensors but it brings up the program but nothing is displayed, no temps or anything.
