Default mac menubar for x64?

Is the globalmenu bar applet/patch available for Ubuntu x64? i found a link that supposedly had it, but every .deb was "wrong architecure, i386..."

If you are referring to the bottom, little dock like thing, Check out Avant Window Navigator I run it on my 64 bit 'Buntu.

no, its the applet for the gnome-menu that mimiks the menu in osx. where "file, edit...etc" are in the toolbar, not each individual window

Hmm, if it's not Avant Window Navigator, then maybe it's Cairo-Dock? Those are the two that most people compare with the OS X dock.

It's not a big deal. For ubuntu install build-essential package, uncompress the archive and execute in the following order in the terminal:
./configure
make
sudo make install

Note that people have had trouble compiling on x64 (there's a link to the issue in the guide). According to their site, there currently aren't any (official) 64-bit packages for Ubuntu.
