Default I needs a new Distro

Hey people.

I needs a new linux distro because Suse and Ubuntu will not allow my Belkin Wireless G USB modem to work, ive tried Ndiswrapper and etc and still nothing so ive decided to go with a new distro that would have support for it out of the box. Is there such a distro that would allow this? If so tell me so i can download it.

Thanks in advance.

Not so easy for begginers, but once installed and running you won't have any problems. It has a simple console-based installation, but you can read an installation guide before and everything will be ok. Btw, it was my first unix experience and still my favourite OS

Try PCLOS2007.

http://www.pclinuxos.com

I think it is even easier to use than Ubuntu. You could also try Mandriva, of which PCLOS is based on.

I use Mandriva 08... works great for my needs.

Xchat, Internet, connections, minimal servers, etc.

MANDRAKE? Almost turned me off of linux for good... it's a mess! (Mandrake, madriva, same difference)

Cay I suggest Fedora? They upgrade QUICKLY...I bet it would work with your wifi instantly (A guess)

If you really want the best (native) hardware support Fedora is your best bet. They always use the latest kernels (and latest modules) for their builds, which usually equates to better "out of the box" support. Of course, this also means that getting proprietary drivers to work (like video card binaries) can often be a major pain if not impossible.
Of course, you could always build your own bleeding edge kernel .
