Can anyone tell me how to keep the touchpad from clicking on stuff every time i lay my finger down on it? Basically, I want it to only select things when I left click. It is way too sensitive right now and I keep clicking things i don't want to. I've found some guides for completely disabling the touchpad, or disabling it while I'm typing. Neither of them are what I'm trying to do. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah, I don't like touchpads in Linux too much... They're too sensitive and don't have an "ignore accidental input" option.

Well if there is a setting, it ought to be in xorg.conf. Where exactly - I couldn't tell you.

See here and here's a really detailed/commented xorg.conf for you to look at. They're both a bit old, but they should work for you.
