Not sure exactly - but i'm not that worried... i was just gonna mess around with it, not take it as a serious OS. I'm a gamer.

i just did the linux thing and am loving it, but i am having trouble getting the extended desktop to work. being of diff. size the span across will not work. any ideas guys????

Yeah its a grub error i've got that one before. Try reinstalling mint.

I have a Dell mini 9 I got last week. I've been playing around with their version of Ubuntu. Linux Mint caught my eye. I have not found any reference to anyone installing Mint on their mini.

Is it possible with little or no problems?

I just tried downloading Mint. I am at work with a fast internet connection. Yet everytime I try downloading Mint, the download speed keeps dropping until its telling me I have 15+ hrs of download. Other than a torrent, are there any websites that have faster download speeds? I can download 1Gig+ game demos in less than 3 hrs with no problems.

You get GRUB error 17 if you rearrange your hard drives after installing Linux. You should generally NOT unplug your other hard drives during a Linux installation.
