Lindows???
Hey guys have you heard of lindows? a friend of mine told me about it, and I was wondering if any of you guys knew about it, and if it was still around

it was an OS that walmart PC's used and maybe some cheap-o eMachines. but i think microsoft cut them off pretty quick, but i could be wrong

yeah that's messed up, I'm lookin in to using linux, just to learn something new, friend of mine showed me lindows, looks like it.....SUCKS lol

Fedora Core 4 is what I use and it works great for what I need it for, which is mainly web surfing and folding.

All it is, is a linux operting system (the coding) with a windows operating environment.
It's really easy to use but I heard that since it tries to get the best of both worlds it ends up being worse than windows and worse than regular linux. I wouldnt recommend getting it, just use windows xp if you want all around easy usage, or if you want to get into linux then check out fedora core 4 for a good distro of easy to use but good linux.
