I also prefer KDE but that is because I am more familer with it then GNOME...I have used GNOME and dont really have a problem with it but I know KDE a little better and I tend to go with what I know...

I use both and honestly, besides a few quirks the functionality is the same. KDE is more pleasing to the eye than Gnome, IMHO.
