I just instaled Ubuntu 5.10 as a dule-boot on my system, and now I realize I have no idea what the heck I'm doing, lol! Are there some guids on how to use linux for morons or somthing? Also, I cant set my res any higher then 1024x768. How can I get it up to 1280x1024?

Did you already install the linux driver's for your video card? That may be what's causing you the problem.
