You may be fine with that erroring. Many of the items installed in winetricks help, but arent going to make or break you with most games. The biggies are the Fonts and DirectX9.

Is it after DX9 has been installed? If not, how do I skip it?

if you like you can just double click winetricks and check directX and allfonts. Most of the work is done by the time winetricks is executed.

The main thing for me was to use Wine 1.1.12 and have it run Fallout in windows XP mode. That seemed to have the best results on my computer. However, each version of Wine they seem to get that much closer to platinum. Another tricky thing was to get a save game at the beginning of the game since starting a new game from the main menu would crash, but loading and playing worked fine. To see my test results and more detailed instructions on what i did use the link below to my AppDB entry: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...estingId=40182 However, I would recommend you try using the latest build of wine 1.1.26 and the tips from it. You may have an easier time since it looks like some issues have been fixed. (Might have to try this out again for myself come to think of it...)
