Yeah, create partitions and boot the CDs; don't run them through windows.
Will give you better disk access speeds and more direct management of the installations.

You can dual boot, or install 2 OS's on one hdd (partitioned) so you can switch between OS's you need to shut down the computer however but yes you can have 2 operating systems on one pc.

I know but the bottom line is I want to run Windows XP + Linuxmint + Ubuntu Studio on the same drive / partition using "Install Inside Windows". Is this possible?

Technically there's no limit in how many OS's you can have.

I was never fond of this Install through windows thing, but it should be possible to have more than one installed that way.

Yeah I think it started with Ubuntu 8.04 (or 8.10). I know Linuxmint supports it

I wouldn't want to run my OS through VMware!!!. Anyway here is the picture.

I would think it works because when you install Linux that supports "Install inside windows" it writes to boot.ini (XP) for Vista boot Loader. When you restart you get the options to pick what OS, Once you select Linux, Grub loads. To my understanding, I think install more than 1 linux will have it's own Grub loader !
