I used to have a webhost but I dumped it so I could try hosting a web server myself. I have nginx, php (fpm) + apc, mysql, and memcached running. I can access everything fine via http://localhost and http://my-ip. Now, I need to host a DNS server. Even after googling I still don't understand the named.conf structure and stuff. My domain/example.com is with DynDNS and the nameservers are still set to my old webhost's (ns1.webhost.com, ns2.webhost.com).
How do I set up my own ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com so I can finally access my site via http://example.com ? I have a static ip by the way, if that helps. Thanks! Last edited by Lyoko : 05-27-09 at 09:07 PM Reason: Issue marked as resolved. |

I found this post: http://forums.devshed.com/showpost.p...05&postcount=2
Followed the structure, added glue records, restarted BIND, and voila! Working perfectly
