Default Extracting .INF files from .EXE wireless drivers

Alright well i just got a Encore ENLWI-N wireless card which supposedly supported by ubuntu but unfortunately not out of the box

I have ndiswrapper installed but i need the .INF file from my drivers to configure my wireless, and thats where the problems start. iv tried archive manager and cabextreact (though im not positive i used it correctly) and neither was able to extract from the .EXE

These are the drivers BTW, i tried the Linux drivers but they are overcomplicated and it would seem just easier to extract the files from the windows drivers.

Any ideas?

doesn't ubuntu hardware drivers pic it up and ask you to "activate" which means it installs a driver for you, have you googled your wifi card and what chipset does it run on as most are fine for ubuntu now

If you are going to use linux, it's probably worth the time to figure out how to install the linux drivers. It would make you more familiar with the OS and better at doing that sort of thing.

I know how to install them, im asking how to extract the .INF file which is necessary to install them from the windows .EXE driver. You can tell this just by reading the title....

Most .EXE's extract just fine but this one doesn't and thats what im trying to figure out.

You could always take the .exe to a window's PC and run it, then grab the .inf file it extracts.

I don't have a windows machine available to me right now and every time i install the drivers through WINE it throws a bunch of errors and the installation fails.

I would really appreciate it if someone using windows would download the windows drivers i posted in the OP and extract the contents for me and upload them here.
