Default Benching in linux?

I've wondered this for quite awhile actually...

Could you get 3dmark06 to run in linux with wine? if so would you score better?

My current machine is running xp exclusively because all i do on it is game and bench... BUT if i could bench in linux i would consider duel booting this machine also

3DMark06 hardly works it seems:

Neither does 05:

You may want to have a look at the Phoronix Test Suite. I'm not sure what they use, but I'm sure they do bench 3D performance.

As parityboy said, Phoronix Test Suite is pretty much the standard for Linux -- it should perform similar benchmarks to what 3DMark and all of those 'doze test suites do.
