Haha KDE is usually just a phase for most people. I prefer to stay away from it. It doesn't even look good in my opinion.

Edit: Letting it be known I use DWM

I personally love kdemod for Arch. The general feel is nice to me, but one of the main reasons is the plasma workspace. The number of plasmoids offered is great, and they have a lot to offer.
All of the apps are great too, such as Amarok, Konqueror, Dolphin, Okular, etc. I do the minimal kdemod install and go from there. It rarely breaks, so that's great.
I also keep fluxbox and xfce installed for the hell of it.

I'm confused when I see KDE, I try to customize it, but for some reason when I customize it, it just looks like gnome so I just go back to gnome...
I dont know who uses KDE or why they would. Gnome is the just the better option but I guess its all a matter of opinion.
