Default First post from Linux

Just finished installing Fedora 11 - first post from my first linux Distro.

Still messing around with it, never dabbled in Linux before and have no idea what I'm doing *Goes back to reading the beginners guide*

Linux is great to learn. Why do you think the IBM roadrunner is running linux? Because windows would still probably crash. You will enjoy your linux experience, I guarantee it.

Well I was pulling my hair out trying to get the Nvidia drivers installed before I had to go to work.

Gonna try to see if I can get STEAM working when I get off - I successfully installed it with WINE but got a Runtime error when I logged into it *sadness*

Hehe if I can manage to get STEAM to work then I'll have all of my gaming needs satiated (Except for maybe Crysis pfft)

If this work on the spare 160GB drive I'm using then I'm just going to switch my entire Sig Rig over to Fedora/Linux permanently

Congrats

Really? They're very simple, especially in Fedora, and also with Nvidia. Check out the guides in my sig. Very helpful at reminding you what to do. Get those repos set up too. yum is your friend .

I'll be working my way to 11 soon. I always wait a while before moving up, but a little longer than usual since I've been busy.
