Is this something that can be applied to a Linux software RAID set up, separately from the usual I/O caches?
__________________I ask because I read somewhere (on OCN) that the ICH10R can enable write-back cache by using system RAM. Can this be applied to Linux software RAID?

Considering how Linux is THE server OS to play with, I don't see why not. However, I have no clue how to make it happen. tried google yet?

lol, I didn't actually Google it but was rather seeing if anyone had any experience of it. Seemingly, according to Google
__________________ , data=writeback is used as a mount option.I suspect though that without an UPS, writeback is potentially dangerous in the event of power loss.
