I am trying to boot Ubuntu Live from USB
__________________all the tutorials i found are for install and i tried unetbootin but that only allows me to install not boot it like a normal Ubuntu CD

your going to need to make a bootloader on said usb device, then copy iso contents over. perhaps this will put you in the correct direction.

Here you go, everything is in the show and shownotes.
I have Grub on my usb and many floppy images and cd rips. You are missing the menu.lst file. Example: Quote:

Okay here.
http://mirrors.gigenet.com/ubuntu/ja...sktop-i386.iso Download the .iso. Burn it to a CD. Boot into the CD and you should see your "Try before installing" I think you may have downloaded the "Alternative CD" instead of the regular one.

It would be easier if you burned a livecd and then used the utility that is included in Ubuntu to make the live flash drive automatically for you.

pop a live cd into any computer then use the make live usb app. it is the best way
