Default Ubuntu on fake raid link slow to respond

Hey maybe someone will have a suggestion because this problem is giving me a bit of a headache. I have been dual booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu for a while now on my sig rig. The two OS's are on a raid-0 using the integrated fake raid and have both been working fine. The other day I rebooted ubuntu and instead of coming back up normally it started erroring out sata 1 & sata 2 saying that the link was slow to respond, I forced a hard boot and then the problem disappeared. Now a couple weeks later Ubuntu has started to do the same thing again for seemingly no reason and I cant get it to boot. initramfs says that /dev/mapper/nvidia_afdcddjd3 which is the partition of Ubuntu on my raid-0 does not exist even though no changes have been made.

I am using neogrub via Easy BCD to solve the grub issue with dmraid. Windows 7 still boots fine and performs without any major issues other than being Windows :P

Any advice would be great and thanks in advance.
