Hi
Im looking for a good all around distro to begin with and to learn linux i had a play with yellowdog on my ps3 a year or 2 ago and i dropped it without understanding it but now i want to do it again but do things properly what have i got to be afraid of really right ? so i was wondering if i could get some feed back on some distros ive been looking at Debian and gNewSense atm and any feed back would be good Thanks

I would suggest Fedora 11 or Ubuntu 9.04 (Note: 9.10 comes out in 11 days).
Both are great Distro's with huge support teams, and friendly communities that many members on OCN are familiar with as well, so getting help shouldn't be a problem.

installed and running just wondering if there are any programs that you recommend having?
also are there any good monitoring programs like for my GPU and main components like everest ? cheers
